Лектор – Chloe Fortescue

Chloe Fortescue has had over 10 years of varied teaching experience both in the UK and abroad. In addition to her CELTA qualification she has a Teacher Training certificate for the Post 16 sector. This combination of qualifications means that she has taught in UK statuary primary and secondary education as well as post 16 adult education, private language schools and publicly funded Future Education colleges and UK Universities. Her experience ranges from very young learners up to University classes. She has worked in the UK, Czech Republic, India and Saudi Arabia both teaching and leading teacher training workshops.

1. “Child’s play. Practical ways of using games and play to enhance learning” (2 часа).

This session will explore the mutual benefits of using games and play in the classroom. Games and play are crucially important in the teaching of young learners and are often underexploited. The session will give practical ideas for integrating games and play into the entire lesson. We will look at play being the natural state of children and therefore how games are non-threatening and have an intrinsic motivation for young learners. This can aid teachers in creating contexts where the learners can use their language in a creative and communicative way.

2. “Can we do exams? Yes we can! Demystifying exam preparation” (2 часа).

The session will look at how students are often underprepared and overwhelmed by exams. We will look at what hinders students in revision and exams and will look at practical techniques to empower students to be more prepared and therefore more successful in exams. The session will look at the digital resources available to teachers and how we can best exploit these.
